Evaluating Second Order Thermodynamic Derivative Properties of Hydrocarbon Chain Series by Perturbed Chain-SAFT Equations of State

چکیده مقاله:
In order to provide a comprehensive understanding of limitations of the PC-SAFT, this study offers insight into this application for the prediction of derivative properties over extensive ranges of pressure and temperature. Therefore, this paper focused on the second derivative properties of pure components related to alkanes by perturbed Chain Statistical associating fluid theory Equations of State. The pure component parameters used for these calculations were fitted to vapour liquid equilibrium data. The PC-SAFT Equation of State is found to be able to acceptably describe the derivative properties including speed of sound and heat capacities as well as Pressure-Vapour-Temperature properties of Alkanes series studied in this work.
